The key innovation of this project is the integration of the living room and kitchen, creating a larger and brighter space that connects with the exterior patio.

This involves demolishing load-bearing walls and creating new openings in the facade to ensure the most suitable lighting and ventilation for the needs of the 21st century.

The kitchen is designed with pine wood furniture and a terrazzo countertop in various colors, creating a timeless and contemporary space. Traditional elements are also installed, such as Barcelona-style roll-up blinds on the patio carpentry for solar protection within the rooms.

History, character, and original elements with durability.

Respect for the history of the residence is evident in the preservation of original elements, such as the access staircase and the wooden beams in the floors. Pine wood carpentry and materials compatible with the originals are used to maintain its character and durability.

The exterior patio becomes the heart of the project, featuring a built-in bench that multiplies and enhances its versatility.

From outdoor dining to direct interaction with the living room and kitchen, eliminating architectural boundaries and bathing the daytime area in natural light.

In summary, this rehabilitation combines history and modernity, transforming a century-old residence into a welcoming and functional home that enhances its architectural heritage while looking towards the present.
